From Humble Beginnings

The Iannucci family has been making wine for many years and have the knowledge and experience to guide you thru the four step process of making delicious wines with grapes from all over the world. Open since 2008, the Iannucci’s have imported grapes from California, Italy, Washington State, Chile, and South Africa.

Ray, the owner and founder of The Wine Press has been making wine since childhood. “It’s all about family” says Ray. With his wife Angie handling the accounting, his son Ray Jr and grandson Ray III helping with the wine making and daughter Lori planning events, it truly is a family affair.


Know Your Wine Makers

Ray Iannucci “Uncle Ray”

The owner and founder of the Wine Press has been making wine since boyhood. He learned the craft from his Grandfather and has continued that tradition throughout his life. He opened the Wine Press in 2008 after he retired from the construction business and he is the heart and soul of the operation. If you ask Ray what he loves most about the winemaking business he will explain that he loves bringing friends and family together to make good wine and continue this legacy for future generations.




Ray’s wife and the family matriarch is always hard at work behind the scenes with book keeping and cooking for events. She is always at seasonal wine tastings greeting guests at the door and lending a hand where it’s most needed.

Ray Jr.

Ray’s son is the owner and operator of Stowaway Storage of North Haven (two buildings away from The Wine Press) and is a large presence at The Wine Press. Any day of the week you will find the two Rays hard at work, taking care of Wine Press barrels and coming up with new innovative ways of making the process run more wisely and efficiently.




Ray’s daughter Lori started at The Wine Press in 2010. As the Wine Press grew, Ray needed someone to help schedule the various steps with winemakers. He was also discovering that people wanted to use the Wine Press for parties, corporate events, limoncello workshops, bottling parties etc. Lori started helping out to fill that gap but soon discovered that she too had a love and passion for wine. In 2014, Lori received her wine certification from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust from the Napa Valley Wine Academy. Ray’s Grandson

Yes you guessed it Ray lll, is also a member of the Wine Press staff. As a big chemistry and science guy, Ray is a huge asset to the Wine Press. With his enthusiasm for chemistry and his love for good wine, he carefully and methodically watches the progress of each barrel, being sure that each one has the right balance of all necessary ingredients. Also a graduate of the WSET Napa Valley Wine Academy, Ray brings together his knowledge of wine and winemaking to this growing enterprise.

"My wife and I along with our friends have really enjoyed our times at the winepress. We have made four different wine so far. We also took a class and learned how to make Limoncello and have been to a few wine tastings as well as wine swaps. It's a nice social experience. Have met some nice people too. Our wines have always come out really good. We enjoy drinking them as well as giving them as gifts. The owners are all extremely nice people. I highly recommend this experience. It's always a good time."
